THE EMMA STONE CIRCLE: COMPLETE

We'll here we are, two months after Emma Stone walked in to our lives and walked away with my heart. This week our Emma Stone saga took the strangest of turns.

Grindcity, who are way too talent to even be involved in something like this, have written their own version of my Emma Stone Tribute Song. And, as you may remember, we had made the deal with local bands that if they come in and cover the song we would gladly dedicate an Episode of Studio 94 to them.

The result is a very cool version of The Emma Stone Song from my new favorite local band. Listen to the episode to hear there own stuff as well, and check them out here.

In case you forgot, here is our version

And without any further ramblings, here is theirs.

TERROR FILM FESTIVAL

There is a cool thing happening this month in Philly called The Terror Film Festival. Check it out here.

They sent us Princess Horror to preach the word of Terror. This stuff all scares me. I can't even handle the tamest of horror, but any chance to make co-workers uncomfortable makes me smile. Check out the video and then listen to Princess Horror's interview below.

HOCKEY MOMS AND THE HOMELESS

So Sarah Palin got a Philadelphia welcome last night at the Flyers game. Read about it here and watch it below. Who saw that going well? At least it wasn't free battery night.

In other news, my friend Greg sent me this picture from his Vegas vacation.

Really we should create a government program where financial stability and a home are awarded based on creativity. How is this kind of genius living on the street while Jeff Foxworthy and Margaret Cho sleep in warm homes?

HIJACKED BY NBC

Ethan Suplee from My Name Is Earl joined us this morning on behalf of Senator Obama. Seriously. It is Barack-tober and he is all over Philly this weekend. Check out his schedule here, or in the interest of fairness go see Sarah Palin here.

If that weren't enough to grab your interest than how about this. Ethan gives us some new insight into Don's Plumb, which is a legendary movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Tobey Maguire that's been rarely seen because of lawsuits.

But wait, there's more! GUTS, Yes Dear, and My Own Worst Enemy star Mike O'Malley crashes our interview. Listen below.

SEXY DARES

If you need help spicing up your relationship then Laura Corn's 101 Sexy Dares may be the book for you. However this interview will probably only make you hungry for Shake And Bake Chicken. Listen below to see how, in typical Studio 94 fashion, we turn something sexy into something rediculous.

Sometimes the best things come out of bad situations. Like roses in concrete or Francis Bean Cobain. Such was the case this morning. It was quite a journey getting in today to interview MAD TV's Arden Myrin, but boy am I glad I did. If they let me have a co-host she sure would be a contender. Which I'm sure would create a tough choice between national network television show and an awkward boy with a small studio and a plant in Philadelphia. That's a tough one.  Listen below and learn why we're now friends with Arden Myrin.

CATCHING UP IS HARD TO DO

I've posted interviews and video on this blog lately, but haven't written to you in quite some time. Well my friend, I apologize. I'm better than that and you deserve better. Truth.

Today I write you from the Manchester, NH Airport. How does that happen? Well it's the latest in a long line of odd occurrences and not so exotic locales that I've found myself in over the past week. I guess the easiest way to explain is to start from the beginning.

Well I was born in a cross fire hurricane. Wait...wrong beginning.   Actually the first of my recent adventures was the Municipal Court of Audubon, NJ. Apparently being adorable is a crime. So is running a red light which was my actual offense. A couple quick notes about Municipal Court and the Justice System as a whole. First of them being the total lack of respect and tradition that has developed when it comes to dressing. I was and still am under the impression that you are suppose to dress up for court. You know, shirt and tie, look presentable. I always fit the part. I make R Kelly look bad when it comes to my court room fashion. Yet for some reason my fellow "defendants" all went to the Michael Jackson school of court attire. Pajamas! No lie, f'n pajamas! There were tank tops, flip flops, and sweat pants. One dude didn't even bother to wear two shoes. That's right one shoe! That's maddening. I wouldn't go to Dennys with one shoe, let alone court!

The other item that is equally as disturbing as good ol' One Wheel Willie was the process in general. Now I got a ticket for running a red light. If I plead guilty I would have paid a mere 80 dollars, but would have received two points on my license. Now in the great state of New Jersey, two points is blood in the water for the man eating insurance companies. You can't live with that. You'll need a bigger boat, or in this case a thicker wallet. Therefore, you must attend this cloning experiment gone wrong know as Municipal Court. Once there you are immediately whisked into the Prosecutors office where he MAKES UP a new offense, which by the way costs you triple, to avoid getting those awful points. So now I'm no longer a red light runner, but a man who fails to use his turn signal.

Now here's where you really get to see the fibers of our Justice System hard a work. You are called up to the judge and the exchange goes loosely as followed.

Judge: Where you driving in Audubon on August 26th?

Me: Yes.

Judge: While you were driving did fail to use your turn signal?

Me: Yes.

Judge: How do you plead?

Me: Guilty.

Judge: The Defendant is found guilty of a failure to use a turn signal, blah blah blah, go give them your rent money outside.

Now I know I'm lying. The judge knows I'm lying. Even One Wheeled Willie knows I'm lying. Yet somehow this is the process. This is justice. A purposely orchestrated lie fueled by insurance companies, a town looking for extra financial backing, and a judge that has excepted this "look the other way" policy. Your legal system at work for you.

L.A.

In other news, later in the week I went to Los Angeles to find actress Emma Stone. You can watch the videos below. As may already know I failed and realized the error of my ways. Luckily I realized before the court appointed restraining order realized.

My favorite part about L.A. Is the accidental humor it provides. I stopped for Pizza on Hollywood Blvd one night. The only people there were me and Charlie Chaplin. True story. Full get up with cane and all. He even ate like Charlie Chaplin. Now that's commitment. Working right in Philadelphia's historic district, I've seen even Betsy Ross catch a smoke and drink some Starbucks. Not this guy. I want to hire him to break bad news.

AND FINALLY MANCHESTER

I flew into Manchester, NH to see Weezer kick off their tour on the campus of UMass. I feel like I'm in Wings. Small town New England for sure. There is 1 terminal, only 15 gates, and a statue of a moose next to baggage claim. And this is the state that helps pick our Presidential Candidates. Isn't that fun.

The show itself was great. Well worth a visit when they hit Philly this weekend.

I promise I'll try to write more. That was my original intention with this space in the first place. I lost in court, lost in love, and am now lost in New England. Talk to you soon. Register To Vote.

Say what you will about Duran Duran, but you know every time Hungry Like The Wolf comes on the radio you sing along. Admit it! I will. I'll go one step further and tell you I think they're great. METROLLICA

Everyone here is very excited about Death Magnetic. It's finally here and it's everything they said it would be. At least it is in my mind. Heavier? Yes! Faster? Yes! It really does feel like it's something that would have been a nice transistion from Justice to The Black Album. In honor of THAT, please enjoy THIS! Listen below.
